My Green Promise: Changing the World in 5 Easy Steps
- Create an account...it's free. It's the only way for you to track your promises and set your reminders.
- Choose a category for your Green Promise. We tried to cover all the bases, but hey, we're human. If you can't find an appropriate category, we've even thrown in an "other" category. See, we've thought of everything!
- Choose the type of promise. This will help you get the ball rolling, but it doesn't mean you can only choose from the predefined set of promises. Love that "other" option!
- Type in the specifics of your promise. Here it is. The real deal. Your Green Promise. Here you also can enter your goal date, how close you are to fulfilling your promise and whether you have any obstacles to overcome.
- Return to step 2 and repeat as often as necessary.
Make your Green Promise today!
But wait, there's more.
- browse categories and read other promises that have been made
- begin or join in a discussion about any promise made
- decide how often you want to receive email reminders of your promises
- log in and keep tabs on your promises, updating your progress regularly
- if you hit a road block, write down the obstacles you are facing...maybe others have faced similar challenges and will have some insight
- send private messages to other Green Promisers
- keep up to date with our monthly newsletter
- for the first 5,000 Green Promises made, we will plant a tree through Trees for the Future
- for every Green Promise fulfilled, we also will plant a tree
