Recycled wrapping paper is not that difficult to find any more, so what are you waiting for? Look for 100% recycled with a high amount of post-consumer waste. Keep in mind that metallic wrapping paper is probably the worst choice since it cannot be recycled due to the finish and it's not very environmentally friendly to produce.
Don't forget to recycle the wrapping paper from the gifts you opened this year. If you actually managed to open the gift without destroying the paper, you can reuse the paper for next year, but if it was damaged, make sure to recycle it (remove the tape though!) .
